How we work alongside your care
Our curriculum follows NEP 2020 and the ISLRTC guidelines and uses a Total Communication approach, so a child who uses devices gets structured listening practice, and a child who does not still has full language through ISL.
- A quick sound check of every device each morning, using the Ling-6 sounds with picture cards and puppets.
- Daily one-to-one listening and speech practice in a sound-treated room, matched to the child’s audiogram.
- FM and sound-field systems in the classroom, and device care training for parents: daily checks, batteries and processor care.
- Speech-reading and oral-motor practice for all children, alongside ISL, Hindi and English.
- We share progress with you, with the family’s agreement, and refer back to you whenever a device or hearing question comes up.
- Ishara Kids curriculum framework
The three levels from age 2 to 6, the five learning domains, the daily routine and the parent programme. Aligned with NEP 2020 and ISLRTC guidelines.
- Centre, classroom and home: tools and equipment
How the centre is set up for deaf children, what our teachers use, and what helps at home.
