Ishara Kids is a hybrid programme. Your child learns with us at the centre in Noida on weekdays, in small groups, with time one-to-one.
At home, you and your child use the Ishara Kids app for short activities every day. Every week, you learn new signs at our parent workshop. Twice a month, we meet to talk about your child’s progress and plan what comes next.
The centre and home work together, as one loop.

- Twice a month

A morning at the centre
Every morning follows the same shape, so children always know what comes next. Mornings run from 9:00 to 12:45.

| Time | What happens | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 9:00 | Morning circle. Signing the day, date, weather and feelings; a picture attendance board; rhythm and vibration mats. | Every day starts together, in ISL. |
| 9:30 | One-to-one time. Listening and speech practice in a quiet room for children who use devices; speech-reading and mouth-movement play for all. | Each child gets individual attention. |
| 10:15 | Language and stories. Two teachers tell stories together, one signing in ISL and one speaking in Hindi or English, with picture cards and fingerspelling. | Bilingual from the start. |
| 11:15 | Sensory and movement play. The sensory room, textured stations and balance beams. | Strong, steady hands and bodies for signing and writing. |
| 12:00 | Creative arts. Drawing, painting, puzzles, and light and vibration dance. | Expression beyond words. |
| 12:45 | Home time. The visual journal goes home. | Today’s learning continues with you. |

Our curriculum framework
We call it the Visual-First Deaf Pedagogy Framework. It follows NEP 2020 and the ISLRTC guidelines and uses a Total Communication approach: Indian Sign Language, listening and speech practice, speech-reading, touch and vibration, and visual media, all together. It is built for bilingual confidence, thinking skills and a smooth move into primary school.

- The daily visual journal, so you can pick up the same theme at home.
- Short daily activities on the app.
- Device care training, if your child uses a hearing aid or implant: daily checks, batteries and processor care.
- A progress meeting and counselling with our team twice a month.
- Parent Circle: a judgement-free group where families learn and practise visual communication together.
